Pros: Easy to Setup/Install, easy to use, fast, high capacity, quiet, reliable, Highly Compatible, rubberized grip!
Pros: Rubber coating prevents slippage, stays put, won’t slide. No power cord needed. Plug n Play. FAST! Nero backup, sync and encryption software protects your stuff. Password protection
Cons: Cord is too short! (24”) Verbatim loves short cords. (But will easily sit on top of computer with rubber grip.)
We ordered the Verbatim USB Premiere edition 250GB Hard Drive (we’re PC/XP-this software is compatible with windows operating systems only.) for a project and once we got the unit out of the plastic encased coffin (be careful cause plastic is hard and sharp!) we instantly loved the feel of this drive in our hands. Coated in a soft black rubberized grip means no slipping around on desk or computer…It stays where you put it! (You will be spoiled with this feature and wish all your drives had a rubberized grip.) We plugged the drive in and like other Verbatim drives, our operating system immediately detected the new hardware. (Unlike the Western Digital drives that constantly fail to be recognized.) Ok, back to Verbatim--We LOVED the increased speed. Dropped some produced video files into the drive and BAM! They Loaded in a split second. This IS Turbo people! We dropped some .mp3’s and entire library loaded quicker than we could see the status update. Package sez increased speeds up to 25% and we believe it. This drive is very responsive. Plus, the size is fantastic. This is my third Verbatim drive and I am a big fan now. Consistency in performance and you don’t have to lug around a power supply. That’s HUGE in convenience.
Overall, the Verbatim USB Premiere Edition 250 GB drive is all that we could ask for in a portable drive. This drive is my first choice in style, performance, features and convenience.
