WoW. I've used this Quickcam Pro 9000 for 5 calls already with friends and family and coud not believe the ease of setup and use. I loaded the software, ran the test features then tweaked the setup to match my personal preferences and was off and running. My only complaint is that I didn't do this sooner. The clarity is unbelievable for home use. I have used professional cameras on much larger systems and had much more difficulty. The ease of use of the 9000 is great. Highly recommend the purchase due to lens/picture quality and just plain ease of use.

I bought two of these cameras. When I installed the first one I was thrilled. Sharp picture, easy to use, good features. Later I installed the second one. Exact same model but blurry picture. Looks like a cheap camera. Amazing two different units of the same model would have such different quality.
I'd probably recommend it as long as you keep the box and receipt so can exchange it if you get a lemon.

Pros: Very high HD quality video and completely usable audio. Application set is nice and driver installation was flawless.
Cons: Does not reliably focus beyond a foot or so away from the lens. My monitor is mounted in the far corner of my desk and the auto-focus cannot distinguish between my face's distance and infinity. The back wall of the office is in focus, but I am not.
Summary: An excellent, albeit expensive top-of-the-line webcam for near field usage.

This webcam has the best quality out there for the money. I recently updated the software and it made an already nice cam even better. This webcam makes video calls enjoyable due to the sharp clarity of its picture and the nice quality of the sound from its built in microphone. I had an old Logitech webcam that worked fine for many years and upgraded to this one a couple of years ago. The quality blew me away. A great product
