Cons: tricky and unreliable

This was difficult to apply. Even worse, it started to curl at one edge after a few days' use, and fell off completely shortly after that. A waste.

Not what I thought it would be. Covers just the screen and not the entire front face of the ipod.

There are much better overlays available Date: January 6, 2009

Pros: could find none - had to throw it out
Cons: difficult to apply correctly, does not cover entire glass area

I have two major issues with this product, either of which makes it a failure for me. First, as absolutely careful and diligent as I was in trying to apply the film to the Touch, I could not get it on smoothly - either an immovable air bubble or speck of dust would interfere. After a couple of attempts, the product was effectively ruined. Second, this overlay only covers the display area of the Touch, not the entire glass surface. I was not aware of this design shortcoming. By covering just the display area, the Touch becomes unsightly. I have had two iPhones and have used overlays that cover the entire glass surface. The best, by far, is the Power Support Crystal Film. It is durable and easy to apply flawlessly. After having seen the MacWorld video of the impenetrability of the iPhone glass, I question why I need a film at all!

Pros: price

I was somewhat dubious that this overlay would allow the touchscreen to be as responsive, but I was pleasantly surprised. Nice to not have to worry about scratching the screen!

And it's cheap!
