Cons: expensive
Works extremely well at distances up to 30+ feet. Like the programmable features on the mouse. I am using them for a computer hooked up to a 55" TV across the room. I tried two other regular wireless mouse and keyboards and both failed at about 3 feet.

The instalation of the keyboard was easy as could be expected from Logitech. I love the high number of features and buttons that can be customised. Although not designed for gaming, its easy to customise the required buttons. Works very well with my home cinema equipment. I love the extended range of the wireless keyboard!

It's a love/hate relationship

Pros: design features comfort accuracy
Cons: bluetooth connectivity
I LOVE the mouse and keyboard. Both are extremely comfortable to use and have just the features I was looking for. Now that I have been using them for a couple of weeks, I realize that they are the best ever, at least for me. But I HATE the Bluetooth connectivity issues I have been experiencing, which are so bad that I am considering getting a different desktop. At first everything worked well and was a delight. Then connectivity was intermittent; now it fails most of the time. I have tried all the fixes and looked for help everywhere I can think of, but there's an issue here that I haven't been able to identify. I'll keep trying for a while, but wireless is important to me, and if I can't fix things soon, I may go for a non-Bluetooth desktop. Unfortunately, Logitech doesn't have the same one available in RF.

Logitech MX 5500

I have the Logitech MX 5000 and is great. Now that I have the 5500, I can tell you the mouse is much better. The keyboard difference b/w 5000 and 5500....not that big of a difference -- you get your displays, built in calculator, temperature....designated keys. The Revolution mouse though, thats something else. Great precision, love the scroll wheel (although some may hate it, there is no click.click.click sound and feel), the ergonomics of the mouse are better as well, much better palm support. Just for the mouse, which by the way when sold by itself costs almost the same deal as the combo. Just get it!

Review 5 for Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution
Excellent keyboard and mouse, especially with the $40 mail-in rebate offered at the time of my purchase. The only problems I have had are that the mouse periodically freezes up and needs to be turned off and then on again (perhaps a Bluetooth issue?).

This keyboard and mouse works great with our HTPC (home theater PC). The added quick keys and two direction scrolling are great for surfing the web.

Pros: all good
Cons: none
I own a Logitech MX Revolution wireless mouse but I wanted a keyboard to go with it. The only problem is that Logitech does not sell just a keyboard to go with my mouse. So I gave my old mouse to my son and purchased the Logitech MX5500. I was a little worried about Bluetooth (the MX5500 uses Bluetooth for both the mouse and keyboard and the MX Revolution uses IR) because I have had problems in the past with Bluetooth. But the combo was very easy to set up, just plug and play. I have also used the Bluetooth receiver to connect to my cell phone. The only two problems that I have had is I had to plug the Bluetooth receiver direct and not through a USB hub, and the mouse was having problems working but I just had to blow the dust out of the laser hole. The keyboard is made more for Vista but works good with XP also. Some of the keys are not standard (insert key and no num lock). Another great product from Logitech.

Pros: great functionality
Cons: little pricy for just basic computer users
Great purchase. Completely happy with both the service I received from PC Connection as well as the actual product itself! Keyboard and Mouse are easy to install - Plug n Play. No hassles - and all the extra function keys are incredibly useful! I especially like the application flip wheel on the mouse.. :)

Pros: easy to install, works well from 8' distance
Cons: none so far
I decided to try this bluetooth KB and Mouse and boy I wasn't dissappointed. I loaded the software and it walked me through the ID process on both an XP and Vista computer without any problems. I definitely recommend it.
