This item does what I want, which is just to read SD cards. It's a little bigger than the reader I had before, but probalby also sturdier.

Cons: too many drive letters

It reads cards, but before you even get a card in it , it presents your computer with about 3 or 4 new drive letters. I guess it could be worse, it could not recognize the drive at all, I keep it in my desk until i need it.

I have not had this Media Reader long but it worked perfectly the first time and was very easy to use. I use a Mac Power Book.

It's a Card Reader Date: April 22, 2009

The card reader works like it should, there is nothing special about it. It does what it's supposed to do.

My only beef with it is the stupid sliding cover. It offers no added functionality to the device and is useless. Back to the drawing board with you.
