I am using the Planar PL1520M with a color video camera monitor because it has composite input. It almost has the resolution of a 1000 line CRT so I am happy with the picture. Compared with a CRT it is lightweight and pixel-based so scan lines don't appear. The color camera is for underwater imaging of fish less than a cm long and the signal is split between the monitor and a Sony DVDirect recorder.
