Pros: wicked fast
Cons: gimme some space!!
These drives are quite fast, as the seek times & impressive transfer rates would suggest. The drives are quiet as well; I was expecting a lot of noise from 15,000 rpm drives, but was pleasantly surprised to find that these drives were pretty sedate. This was critical, as the drives are utilized in a high powered workstation, not in a far away server closet.
Make sure you snag the proper SAS cable for your installation - SATA cables will not work!
