A USB Floppy Drive is required occasionally, even these days. You may also need to read and copy data from archival disk and transfer them to CD or DVD before the floppy media degrades. As a person who also must maintain PC’s, more and more I needed such a device because new computers did not come with one standard. Its small form factor and portability is a plus. Also, most systems still recognize this as an A: drive USB boot option, automaticly, if needed. Great!
