It is a really good device, very reliable readings, even when the barcode is not the best print quality. Plug it in and start working.
My only point for critic: It took me quite a while to find out, how to scan multiple barcodes without pressing Enter in between. I think this point should be on the Quick Start Guide.

Pros: great technical support Cons: if more than a trivial application you'll need it
I purchased one of these units six months ago to prototype our application. The degree to which it can be programmed is amazing. But even for an experienced computer language programmer, the programming procedure--using a series of barcodes to enter each step--was daunting. Luckily, this is an exception to the rule that real technical support is dead. If they had given away the reader, the patient technical support (teaching really) would have been worth the purchase price. It got me over the hump.
